About the event
Optical gas imaging at industrial facilities using Infrared (IR) cameras has become a useful tool for environmental, safety and maintenance applications. With the introduction of Providence's QL320, quantitative optical gas imaging (QOGI) is now possible. The QL320 works seamlessly with the FLIR GF320 or GFx320 to provide the operator with a quantitative method. Using the QL320 enables measurements of emission rates at distances ranging from 5 feet to 210 feet. This course will review the fundamental properties of optical gas imaging. The quantitative method in the QL320 will be introduced and the fundamental measurement principles of quantitative optical gas imaging will be discussed. The specific features of the QL320 will be covered as well, including the procedures to take measurements in the field. A hands-on training session will allow the attendee to practice the theory presented in class by measuring various leaks with a QL320.
At the conclusion of the course, attendees will receive a Level 1 QOGI certification from Providence Photonics, indicating that the attendee has gained the skills necessary to operate the QL320 effectively.
